Shrivardhan beach

Shrivardhan beach is just 10 minutes walkable distance from Aapli Wadi, the place where we stayed in Shrivardhan. It's one of the clean and unpolluted beach I ever saw. We could hardly see anyone at 4pm, and the soft sand was shining with crushed shells.

Undisturbed nature's drawings are wonderful to watch....

Shore is filled with shells and the water rushing out of the glued shells is another beauty to watch.

And the sand waves are perfect reflection of peace on the shore ....

My kids had fun catching small white crabs...they were indeed cute and the sand holes are another beauty of the beach.

From far, we could see the ships standing by...

From nowhere, three dogs came running and were crazy in catching birds flying above the low tides...

As the sun started settling down, more people started settling in...

And some snaps of the sunset...

We had enough masti for three hours and had to say good-bye to the beautiful beach to get some rest.... Wish to go there again....

Konkan trip

Our three day trip to Konkan is an unforgettable experience with RELAXING moments at Shrivardhan beach, SCARY moments on the way to Janjira Fort and WOW moments at Raigad FortWith my brother's family, we rented a van and drove down to Shrivardhan. On the way, we stepped out of the van to enjoy nature's beauty near Mulshi lake.

For three days, we enjoyed our stay at Aapli Wadi which is Konkani style home, spread over 40,000 sq. ft. of lush green surrounding with plantations of Cocunut, Betelnut, Jackfruit, Banana, Ramphal and Pineapple.

This place is so relaxing, close to nature with greenery everywhere, hammocks to swing and nap, small shed covered with dried betelnut and coconut leaves, handmade rope bed (charpoy) under the shed...total village style setup...and ME sleeping in my mother's lap to her gentle massage on my head....some moments are just priceless and their gravity is hard to resist. Totally an awesome experience....and konkani style home-made food added different flavor to our trip...especially Cucumber salad made with crushed peanuts...very refreshing.

On our way to Shrivardhan beach, this collection of leaves on a Mango tree attracted our attention. Looked elegant..but hard to understand the purpose of this feather-like wrap around the tree. Sometimes nature's creations are hard to understand...just enjoy the view.
